MWC_LifeBeginsAt40 Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 So the guy I have been seeing for about 2 1/2 months (online/phone for a month, 5 dates and lots of sex, then no contact with me for the last week and a half) well, he texted me yesterday "Happy Canada Day, hope all is well with you. I miss talking to you" WTF is that? After the last time I saw him and we had sex, I mentioned we have sex alot, maybe should do other things, then he cancelled the next date (got called in to work), a few texts, didn't call when he said he would, didn't reply to my text. Replied to a text I sent a week after later. Then nothing. I sent one email after that... no reply. I think his comp may be broken. So now, two weeks after sex, he texts me. I know I should ignore him, but I hate leaving things hanging. I have moved on. I need something that says I'm strong and moved on, but I'm not a b*tch. Why would he say he misses me if he's the one who had the ball?
Art_Critic Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 Booty Call... If you want to have sex with him text him back since that is what he is looking for
Trialbyfire Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 If you want to keep it simple say "Happy Canada Day, take care [insert your name]." No matter what you say, you leave the door open for more conversation if you reply.

Author MWC_LifeBeginsAt40 Posted July 2, 2007 Author Posted July 2, 2007 For sure he's trying to keep the door open for more sex. But that is not what I want. I'll reply simply I guess. I'll say "thanks D, hope all is well with you too. B." That leaves a door open, but not for sex. It leaves it open for me to give him supreme shyt for leaving me hanging and telling him I have someone new if I ever see him on msn again or if he emails (fat chance). thanks! Time to hit the lake.. I'm on VACATION!!!
Reckless Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 If you want the door open just dont mention doing something OUTSIDE the bedroom again. You know Art is right doncha, so how does one reply to a booty call? Happy Canada day [read: I want sex, d'you]? Happy Canada day to you too (name) [read: maybe] Sooo... wacha doin'?[read: If I turn on the charm can you be persueded]? Oh, not much, You? [read: how much charm are we talking about] just hanging; fancy hooking up [read: Was that enough charm?]? Sorry I'm busy [read: Absolutely not enough. I'm talking a coke AND fries this time!] ENDING ONE:oh, how about a movie next week then? [read: Oh, okay then.. hmm the sex was fab and I do kinda like you as a person] ENDING TWO:oh, okay then... well keep in touch[read: Not worth the bother. Now who else is on my booty-call list] ALTERNATIVE ROUTE Happy Canada day [read: I want sex, d'you]? Silence [read: Get over yourself, you had plenty of free sex and now it's over bud, so long!] Helloooo??? [read: I really really want sex, d'you]? Silence [read: Booty over. Move on, oh and by the way your were really really crass for doing a fade like that] can you see me[read: you are really starting to p*ss me off]? Silence [read: Good] Silence[read: Women! nothing but a pain in the butt]? Silence[read: smile]?

Your response isn't just leaving the door open, it's asking, no, demanding a response. If you wanted this game to continue and want the opportunity to slam him, why leave it like that? Why not just say: "Hi D, it's good to hear from you. How's life treating you? B" This would suck him in fast, leading him into further dialogue with you. Overall, I don't particularly agree with any of this. I would either have not responded or responded scathingly. My personal opinion is that you still want him and not solely because of ego. You're asking to get hurt again.
Author MWC_LifeBeginsAt40 Posted July 2, 2007 Author Posted July 2, 2007 Oh Reckless you are hit the nail on the head. Now he says "Nice to hear from you. would you like to go golfing sometime" I'm not good at 'silence'. I think it's rude. I know, he did it but I'm not like that. How if I reply with "No thanks". I'd love to add more but I think that would do it. and TrialBF, in a way I think it is my ego. I love the attention but it gets me in trouble almost every time. I am learning though.... i think?

Author MWC_LifeBeginsAt40 Posted July 4, 2007 Author Posted July 4, 2007 Well, I replied with : "No, I don't think so. Thanks." I believe that is all the closure needed.
