Mistaken Identity Posted July 1, 2007 Posted July 1, 2007 My ex and I have been on-again off-again for years. Even when we were married, he was always running off to get drunk and feel sorry for himself. I finally figured out that he does this when I haven't shown him enough affection (or when we haven't had sex in a few weeks). I think his fear of rejection is pathological. We have a six year-old, and I've tried to make this relationship work time and again for her sake. Plus, he's a lot of fun when he's in a good mood. He is extremely affectionate, and I feel uncomfortable expressing myself. But he's known that from the beginning. Anyway, he has run off again back to his place 75 miles away. I haven't talked to him in two days. Should I just go NC? Wait another four months (literally) for him to contact me/his daughter? Also, any ideas of why he's so ridiculously sensitive? Thanks!
