InvisibleTouch Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 Can someone invite you to be "friends" on Facebook accidentally or must they actively put your email details in. In other words, can they send group invites? My ex sent me an invite thats why im asking and she knows that she is to stay away... Thx
ShoeGirl Posted June 30, 2007 Posted June 30, 2007 I am pretty sure that someone would have to specifically add you. I think you even have to confirm the add before the request will be sent, I would find it hard to believe that she did it accidentally.
prism23 Posted July 1, 2007 Posted July 1, 2007 You can mass invite. To add someone as a friend (if you have facebook and she added you and you have to confirm/deny her request), you have to deliberitly do it. HOWEVER... if you got an email saying "So and so has invited you to be their friend on facebook" that is done by importing your address book into facebook and they send a mass mailout. Man, I know too much about facebook lol.
Author InvisibleTouch Posted July 1, 2007 Author Posted July 1, 2007 ...so it is probably an error on her part rather than some weird attempt to get in touch?
bobby_d_86 Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 Yeah sounds like she didn't intend it... Sign up and I think she'll automatically be one of your friends as she invited you. She might post on your wall or send you a PM - then you'll know she wants to get in contact with you. If she doesn't then just don't use the account...
Author InvisibleTouch Posted July 2, 2007 Author Posted July 2, 2007 Thx folks. I'll be keeping my head down on this one!
