thelipless Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 I have a friend who i haven't seen since new years, hes a good friend, we just haven't seen each other for a while. I heard from someone that this friend might be gay. I have no problems with him being gay. I just don't know how to confirm it. I'm under the impression that its really rude to ask him "are you gay".
disgracian Posted June 30, 2007 Posted June 30, 2007 Is there a really important reason why you need this information? Cheers, D.
Zona76 Posted June 30, 2007 Posted June 30, 2007 And there's a possibility IF there is truth, he may not feel free to have you come aware. Don't make mention of other gay friends (if you have some). For all you know he may even be homophobe. This could also drive a wedge between you. Be open and understanding and welcome him back in your life.
JulieJ Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 Definitely do not ask him. If he wants you to know, he will tell you. If he is gay, he might not be out of the closet in all areas of his life (like a work or to his family) and so might not be comfortable sharing with everyone yet.
GALT Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 Invite him to the movies. If you are male, put your knee against his and look for a reaction If you are femasl---same thing
