Teacher's Pet Posted June 19, 2007 Posted June 19, 2007 One year. I made it. One year since that little "tiff" in a diner over lunch that led to a "fatal" text message later that evening. What have I learned? 1. You can take almost any fruit and puree it into a cocktail mixer. 2. Baseball, our national pasttime, is such a beautiful thing. 3. Sanford And Son is probably the funniest TV show of all time. 4. The Sony PSP is NOT just for 13 year olds. 5. Three men in their 50's can still rock harder than most 20-something musicians of today. 6. Peanut butter, when mixed with the right ingredients, makes an incredible sauce. 7. Pocket aces doesn't guarantee victory, but 7-8 off suit can be brilliant, if played right. 8. Karaoke is more fun with great friends. 9. Blondes don't ALWAYS spell disaster in my life. *chuckles* 10. I'm 35, overweight, and can still bartend circles around a "perky" 20 year old female! Ok, so none of these things are incredibly "life-altering", but they are 10 things I never would have learned over the last year if I was still with HER. It's amazing what's out there, when you are allowed to look. Thanks, LS. At 6:59pm tonight, I will be turning off my cell phone for one minute, for my own "moment of silence" while I observe this joyous epiphany I just had. -tp #...and I say to myself, what a wonderful world!#
