fallendisguise Posted June 17, 2007 Posted June 17, 2007 Hi LSers! I've finally gotten past the FWB situation I was posting about awhile ago. I've been keeping myself busy with working full-time, I'm taking 3 night classes at the college and throwing myself into hobbies. I've been really busy which has definitely helped me to get over my previous situation. However, I have noticed a guy in my math class that I'm slowly becoming interested in. I'm definitely not ready to rush into anything still. But I would like to try hanging out with him outside of school. I'm not really sure if he is interested or not. He does look at me quite a bit and he approached me last week on a class break. We mostly talked about the class and I made a couple of jokes about it that he laughed at, but we didn't talk for long. So I decided that the next day I would try to say something funny to him about the class on our break. But, he didn't go outside during our break and when I returned to class he was having a conversation with another guy... which I didn't want to invite myself into the convo. So next time I see him is Monday evening and don't know if I should still try to talk to him. I guess I was wondering if anyone had any pointers on how to let him know I'm interested in talking to him outside of class without making it obvious? It's been about 5 years since I've been in this kind of stituation and I have forgotten how to go about it and am a little scared too. I'm really shy when it comes to approaching people but open up after. If anyone could give me some pointers, that would be great! (I'm just so happy at this point that I'm finally attracted/possibly interested in someone else.)
Author fallendisguise Posted June 19, 2007 Author Posted June 19, 2007 I guess what I'm asking is... how do you guys like to be approached? Do you give subtle hints to a girl that you're interested in aside from checking her out? I don't want to walk up to this guy on break and start chatting and ask him out for a drink or something and then feel humiliated for the remainder of my class (which is another month) because he said no. I've been out of the game for ages and don't want to look like a blubbering idiot...
