Gunny376 Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 The enemy isn't them but us, you will come to understand everything! Conquer yourself ~ and you will conquer all!
IfWishesWereHorses Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 Absolutely, and it's the one thing no one can take away from you.
quankanne Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 "Emancipate yourself from mental slavery, none but ourselves can free our minds ..." – Bob Marley, "Redemption Song"
ilmw Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 Yes, to free your self of what once held you down.. what stifled the glimmer of hope in your eye. Breaking free of those mental shackles.. or demons in your mind, if you like. There claws dug deep into your soul. To learn to break free of these things... to come to recognise yourself again... is an uplifting experience.. to sour again.. with hope an determination...a clear vision instead of a fuzzy haze. Kinda cool.. ilmw
Trialbyfire Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 Please remember boys and girls. The more baggage you want to take with you on a flight, the more likely Security will pull out the rubber gloves...

ThumbingMyWay Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 "A man lies in his bed in a room with no door. He waits hoping for a presence, something, anything to enter. After spending half his life searching, he still felt as blank as the ceiling at which he's staring. He's alive, but feels absolutely nothing. So, is he? When he was six he believed that the moon overhead followed him. By nine he had deciphered the illusion, trading magic for fact, no tradebacks... So this is what it's like to be an adult. If he only knew now what he knew then... i'm open come in Lying sideways atop crumpled sheets and no covers he decides to dream... Dream up a new self for himself" EV of PJ
