Does anyone in an LDR ever feel completely lonely...i mean lonely to the point where you feel sick to your stomach?

I've made it well over a year in my LDR but still sometimes feel just plain sick from missing him so much. I think it's especially bad now because I'm on break from college for the summer and he's still going to school with only a 2 week break.

I think this sick feeling stems from not being able to talk to him on a daily basis like we used to since he's sooo busy right now with projects. The sick feeling just grows more intense when I think about how much more difficult things could get as time goes on.

Are there any suggestions to help fight this feeling? I'm pretty sure I've heard a ton of advice on the subject before but I'm still having trouble sometimes.

The only thing you can do is to keep busy. Go out with your friends. Join a softball league or hiking club or something. Get a summer job. Go to summer concerts. Try new things. Don't just sit around missing him.

It's hard, but if you are intent on staying in this relationship, you can't just focus all your energy on missing him.

I know I have been trying to keep busy. I have a summer job and a social life and plenty of things I've tried doing to pass the time but the feeling still creeps up on me.

Why not give him a call at those moments?

I'm sure if he cares for you, then those calls would be accepted without a problem.
