NYCGal Posted June 10, 2007 Posted June 10, 2007 I have never posted here, and although i have had all sorts of advice from my friends and family support system, i'm still confused as to what to do... a bit of background: i broke up with my boyfriend of nearly 4 years over the phone (we had been long distance for nearly 2 years) - he had 2 weeks off for vacation (he went back to college) and didnt come visit me. it was little things like that which made me realize I was the only one putting in effort into the relationship. i called him 10 days after i did it, he didnt answer, i left a message, he never called me back. i emailed him nearly two months later, and he emailed me back. we've had a few "small talk" emails in the past couple of weeks. i think he thinks we can just be friends, and go on normal. i would like to see him to get some sort of closure - but im not sure if it is a good idea or not. will it just make things worse? will it help me move on? i'm having a hard time getting back into the dating game.. part of me thinks that i should stop emailing him, and not see him. another part of me wants to see him, and look him in the eye and tell him how much he hurt me. another side of me thinks maybe we WILL be friends.. any thoughts? how the heck do you just MOVE ON!?
