Touche Posted June 9, 2007 Posted June 9, 2007 Not sure if you know my story, TBF but I met my H only three days after separating from my ex-H. I fell in love very quickly after that. I mean within four weeks we were engaged. Yet still, even under those ideal conditions, as far as a separation and divorce goes, when that paper came saying the divorce was final, I felt a painful pang. It's sad. It's the death of so many dreams. And of a love. And I did love him with everything I had..just as I'm sure you loved your ex. It was, for me, a very bittersweet moment when I got the notice in the mail. That was my personal closure though. But it was sad. It's normal to feel as you did. Like I said, I myself felt it even though I was already in love with another. Sounds like you let yourself feel that and then let it go. And that's exactly what you have to do to move on sucessfully. You go girl!

You go girl! Thanks Touche. I do believe in experiencing the emotion, then letting it go. I've tried the pent up method in the past for other reasons and found it damages far more than it's worth. Avoidance or self-deception never works for me. This thread is a form of feminine disgorging. Y'all get to hear my angst and emo-ness. Share the wealth.

Author Trialbyfire Posted June 10, 2007 Author Posted June 10, 2007 and baked Crow How so? You've got me curious now.
pelagicsands Posted June 10, 2007 Posted June 10, 2007 He uses lots of curry, so maybe there's no difference between baked crow and rump steak. A thoughtful contribution to the thread, nevertheless.
Author Trialbyfire Posted June 10, 2007 Author Posted June 10, 2007 I do enjoy a good sweet curry but the flame-on variety is too much for me to take.
pelagicsands Posted June 10, 2007 Posted June 10, 2007 I do enjoy a good sweet curry but the flame-on variety is too much for me to take. Back to feminine disgorgings, again?? I can't say that you didn't warn me.
Author Trialbyfire Posted June 10, 2007 Author Posted June 10, 2007 Back to feminine disgorgings, again?? I can't say that you didn't warn me. We women disgorge at a phenomenal rate...
Am4Real Posted June 17, 2007 Posted June 17, 2007 I would say that to try is actually a good thing as it helps you release your emotions. It's healthy for you. One day you'll just see yourself feeling ok about everything and you will realize that crying was actually the start of your moving on process. Just cry because it's painful but do not dwell on the pain itself. Just take it as it is. It will heal sooner or later. Do not force yourself to forget lest you just end up remembering all the more. Face everything as they come. Just be strong. Think of yourself. Remember this: Pain is Temporary but Dignity is Forever. Excellent thoughts -- these words should be made into a poster. Is there a copyright?? Ha!

I'm doing well. Am4Real Glad to hear you're doing well A4R. As mentioned in a previous post in this thread, we women disgorge at a phenomenal rate so why would that be different for posting? Anyways, I'm light-years better although I had a wee setback with this drive-by sighting. In hindsight, wish I had my nephew's supersoaker with me so I could have made it a real drive-by. Nothing says a good divorce like being drenched in noxious fluids.
