meleeda Posted June 7, 2007 Posted June 7, 2007 Okay here is the story i have been living with a guy for three years, he moved out about four weeks ago to take time alone as he calls it. Within four days he slept with another and now he is telling me he is spending time with another women, he calls me and tells me he misses me and still loves me and goes on about our sex life and misses waking up with me and stuff, our lifes were intertwind and I have been slowely unwinding them, ie: this is mine this is his..... I am keeping this house he is keeping that, etc. So now the problem is with all the expenses I have should I have to pay for a moving truck and storage to get his stuff out of my life. When we were together we never fought about anything, we disagreed but never fought. Now all the time all we do is fight and argue, he was always his honest person who was upfront with me about everything now he will not tell me the simplist things. Am I being unreasonable asking him to move his stuff out since he is wanting to move out anyways. he is living in a hotel and looking at purchasing a house but he says he cannot find one as none are available. yet I see listings all over. So the big question is am I being unreasonable to ask him to move his stuff out before he is ready or should I just let him store his stuff at my house?? I am so confused about all the stuff that has happened in the pat few weeks I feel as if I have lost it.
Reckless Posted June 7, 2007 Posted June 7, 2007 There is always the petrol, box of matches and back lawn option but that might not be legal.. so I'd do what mel says.
RecordProducer Posted June 8, 2007 Posted June 8, 2007 Why do you want his things out so badly? You can insist, you can throw them out in the backyard/street/garage, you can sell them , you can hire a truck and charge him for moving his stuff. I would give him a deadline and state that after a certain date, I am calling a company that takes old furniture away. I don't know about the US, but in some countries if you want to get rid of your furniture, you can find people who need it (cuz they don't have money to buy new) and they will gladly come to pick up their "new" funiture.
