Great Gazoo Posted June 5, 2007 Posted June 5, 2007 My wife has suffered from chronic ear infections most of her life. About 4 years ago she had a severe infection that caused a case of Bell's Palsy and we think was the cause of her first miscarriage. The infection caused lots of damage and she has had 3 middle ear surgeries since but nothing has seemed to help bring back the hearing to one ear which they call single sided deafness. So the specialist is thinking about using the BAHA system which is a bone anchored hearing aid. Does anyone use this system? If so how do you like it? Is it hidden fairly good? Does water effect it, swimming etc... Any info would be helpful to her to make the decision. Thanks
