Alabamakid15 Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 Hello, thanks for taking the time to read this! I have some problems with...well, what this site it for! I am 15, and have never had a girlfriend, that's right never. I think the biggest part of my problem is that I am overweight, (5'7, 220). I have decided that it would be best for me to lose some weight to help me do better in the love department (not to mention my health). But a snag appeared, I sprained my ankle pretty bad at the start of summer and I have started falling out of eating habits. But even before this arose, my mom laughed off the idea of me seeing a personal trainer, I honestly don't think she is taking me seriously, which will make it harder for me to be serious about weight loss. I want to lose weight still, I honestly do! But for the time being I was wondering if there is any hope out there for a big guy (I use big loosely ) finding a nice girlfriend? WHICH brings me to my next point! There is this girl I like (shocker, right?), but I have no clue if shes likes me at all. We hang out at the movies and school a lot, but I don't know what she really thinks. The problem is that she is she was resting her head on my shoulder during a movie we went to see, and doesn't mind getting close (hugs and the already mentioned head rest). But she is known to be somewhat flirty (would flirtatious be correct?). I haven't really seen her be too close to other guys tho, am I looking to far into this? So my questions! 1. Is it possible for me to still do alright with the ladies currently, though no weight loss progress is being made? 2. What is a decent target weight for me? (I kind of threw this one in here...sorry!) 3. Is the flirty girl worth chasing? Sorry if there are any grammar/spelling problems, I realize the paragraphing is bad, but I wanted to avoid a wall of text. I am running on low sleep .
hagi990 Posted June 7, 2007 Posted June 7, 2007 had to setup an account to reply. You are not too fat for a gf, I used to be 252lb at 6'3'' and had a few gf's in that time. I'm now at a healthy 217lb after training for 6 months. I now have a great gf. I think you need to just get some courage and firstly go up to that girl and ask her out for dinner/drink. alternatively I have a great way in a movie to hold a girls hand. Basically when the previews are on and your having a laugh, say how big are your hands to her? then when she's like waH? ... put your hand palm up and to the side, she'll then put her hand on yours to see whos is bigger make sure your hand ahs the fingers spread out... then once the sizing is done leave your hand there and if she's ready she'll keep it there and either you or her can do the finger clasping hand holding. - I've told you my move lol! Next thing is look up body mass index and you'll find out for your height what your ideal weight is. This doesn't take into account Muscle mass in my opinion as I'm toned and i'd have to loose 14 more pounds which would my frame would make me look like I hadn't eaten for weeks. Looks come and go, but personality is everything. If this flirty girl turns you down then it's her loss... you know your a great person and fun to be around so it's now her who has to show you that she's worth your time.
