Takerslove Posted June 3, 2007 Posted June 3, 2007 So I been dating this guy for a month and been engaged to him for little more then 2 weeks. Now I have been engaged before to another guy all most 1 year ½ ago now. I have not made any plans for this ‘wedding’ yet, but I do look from time to time what is online and out there to put together a wedding. Now I am 22 and he is 32 and neither one of us has been married before so it is going to be a big deal you (as a women) would think. But today I was looking online at wedding things when I was at his house and he said to me are you already making plans. I told him I was just looking, but it seamed to offend him. What is the big deal about getting married guys? We are already engaged and do everything as a couple. So, what is the big deal?
Art_Critic Posted June 3, 2007 Posted June 3, 2007 If has nothing to do with Men as a group.. Most Men need to know someone more than 2 weeks before they propose. The issue is with your guy.. he asked you to marry him because he felt it would keep you around.. he hasn't got the same intentions of getting married that you do and how I know that is your thread today said that he is annoyed.. No man that asks a woman to marry him should be annoyed at her 2 weeks later when she asks about the plans.. I think you need to have him set a date with you in concrete so you can make plans for your wedding... Maybe if you have him pinned down to a date he will relax some...

Touche Posted June 3, 2007 Posted June 3, 2007 And to my mind, it's not even a real engagement without a date. It's bogus. No ring. No date. You're still just b/f, g/f. You might want to get to know him a little longer and back off on the whole engagement thing anyway. Clearly, he's not ready. So the others are right. This isn't a "guy" thing. It's an issue with YOUR guy.
