EYECANDY000 Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 I am simply wondering whats wrong with me? I am almost 26 and has never been in a real relationship. Well,except one, but it was long distance, and i Loved it. Anyways I dont have kids, and dont want kids. I would like to remain single forever, with an occasional horizontal hokey pokey now and then, hehe. Well since Im on the subject of sex, I have a toy, so I really dont even need a guy. It just seems like everytime I meet someone, I am the one who would like to remain casual and they would like to take it a step farther. Then I get really scared and break off the friendship. HUh? I just cant seem to put two and two together. Is it that most people should just remain single and thats it. I personally dont think that I am terrible at relationships, but i just dont want to invest years in someone and it ends up going haywire. I know I should take risks, and stop being so scared, but the word 'forever" gives me goosebumps. ughhhhh. Ha, I have even went as far as persuing soomeone a lot younger than me, only because I know hes not looking for anything serious. Does anyone else go through this, or is it just me? any insight?
peace_pipe Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 What you what is not wrong (no relationship), but you must realize that most of the guys out there will want relationships, if they admit it or not. Even when people say they don't want relationships, they often find themselves in one. As to why you are afraid of commitment, well only you can answer that. Is this accurate: You can meet a wonderful man, yet you will push him away regardless?

I think you just haven't met anybody that's really impressed you. Sure, you say you don't want kids and something serious now but things change. You're still young. There's a LOT of people out there to still meet and one day, your mind will suddenly change and you'll want to take the next step with that person.
