has you SO ever come home from the salon with a look that you absolutely cannot stand?

Posted

No, but if I did it, I would appreciate H telling me. He's the one I want to impress the most, so I'd want to change the look if he hated it.

If I was going to get something drastically different from my current style, I would probably talk aboutit with BF first.

Not to get his permission, but to gauge his reaction....I know he is cool with most stuff except unnatural coloured highlights (like blue etc)

Although drastically different looks aren't really something I have the luxury of experimenting with now i have a "proper" job. :D

I take it your wife came home with a certain hairstyle or look that you don't like, simple?

If she likes it, don't put her down, but gently let her know that you don't like it. Uhmm, good luck! (Oh, keep it light hearted, and humourous...If you're serious about it she could get upset or pissed off at you.)

Careful -- if she comes home with the "wrong" style, it just might be wrong to her as well. It's entirely possible the stylist f@kced up.

It took Mrs. W25 a long time to find a stylist who actually listened to what she wanted, what worked on her hair, and what caused actual damage. All the stylists before her current one (both male and female) were arrogant, egotistical butchers who thought they knew best and completely disregarded her wishes as to both cut and highlights.

Granted, the first session with a stylist isn't guaranteed to result in perfection, but she was generous enough to give one of them several tries -- and the last was no improvement over the first.

And if you ever find a place that won't apply one drop of perm or color until you first sign a hold-harmless agreement not to sue them ... run like mad. No joke -- Mrs. W25 actually encountered this!

Nope never happened but she always gets the same person to style her hair. I remember when she was 16 she got a perm and no it did not look good but I never said a word, I was just dating her, I didn't have to live with her at the time

Oh no, he knows better then to shave his head.

But if I do anything drastic, I'll run it by and ask what he thinks. Actually that's a fib because I cut about 2 feet (I think) of hair off without his say. Oops. But it looks super so it's fine. :D

Not yet but I wouldn't care. After Britney shaved her head I told my wife she should try it but she didn't seem interested. Just kidding about that last part.

Yep, and when he asked how he looked I told him he was very handsome. (Not a lie, even with a crap cut he's a handsome man).

Hair grows back.

That said, my husband HATES short hair on women, mine is above my shoulders. He would love me to grow it out but I have baby fine hair and it just looks and feels better shorter. So he can either divorce me for a woman with long hair, or take me shorter hair and all.
