goofykid1 Posted May 29, 2007 Posted May 29, 2007 I dated my ex-boyfriend for a total of 1 year. We broke up 3 times over 3 years. Before he moved cross-country 1 year ago, we did entertain the idea of dating for a 4th time. Ultimately, we decided not to date given that he was moving. In the year that he has been gone, we have not been in contact. He is currently dating someone. I am currently dating my ex's former roommate. After things moved to the next level last month, my boyfriend called my ex to let him that we're dating, but only recently told me that they had spoken. My boyfriend told me that my ex took it harder than my boyfriend expected and that my ex said he needed to marinate things in his head. My boyfriend and ex have since exchanged emails and seem to be OK with each other. My question is: Do I need to call my ex to talk about the fact that I'm dating his former roommate, even though we haven't spoken in a year?
jcster Posted May 29, 2007 Posted May 29, 2007 Nope. I think not talking to him for a year absolved you of that responsibility.
