Guest Posted May 29, 2007 Posted May 29, 2007 I've been with this guy for 2 months or so. It was a long and complicated road but we finally got together. Though sometimes, when his "ex" (the air quotes are there because they were never really together, it was more a flirting match for 2 months before he decided he didn't actually like her) is around, he acts slightly cold and awkward around me, it's like we're not together and only just friends. But then when we're alone he'll be really affectionate. I can't be paranoid here can I? He also lacks the ability to be able to treat a girl right and make her feel a girlfriend should, it's not that he's horrible to me, he just is never there when I need someone to talk to, and he never knows what to say. The times I've been low, it's always his friends coming to comfort me. I just want more than just affection because a relationship cannot be based purely on that. I just don't understand why he's acting hot and cold with me, when it was him who persued me in the first place. Whenever I'm with him, my interest in him sparks up again because he really is very nice. It's just sometimes I wish he'd do something more, something extra, to show he cares, which I think he does, he just doesn't show it and it's quite upsetting. I just need some advice on how to deal with this. Thanks.
