Buy a bag of whole radishes & rinse them off. Get some sea salt, not too fine or too course and put it in a little (pretty) bowl. Dip the radishes in that salt and enjoy. Yum.

there is an indian version of this also but it use the long white Daikon radishes (also called Chinese radish) that look like huge white carrots. They slice the radish into thin disks and then you dip the pieces into salt and then some spices.

Yes... I think that this is probably the origin of that recipe. I have grown Daikon radishes, but I have found that they are a little more trouble than they are worth where I live, though they last longer into the growing season (they get infested with pests, and are planted later in the summer). Most people here will not grow ordinary radishes beyond the spring, because they get too hot (spicy) with warmer weather, more like daikons. But the late, hot radishes are the more satisfying ones with the salt.

Gawd, I need to find a way to get another garden again.:(

Refrigerated raw Baby Carrots topped with about a Tbsp. of Newman's Own Balsamic Vinaigrette is a quick healthy snack I like to munch on.

Try container gardening, Poly. You can grow anything you want in containers, you know.

I love radishes too. And guys, you haven't really tasted peas, until you've tasted home-grown ones. Having them tonight in fact.

I love nuts too, especially pistachios...yum. Also love sliced up cucumber with salt. I cut them into spears like pickles. But I only use those fat baby cucumbers not the big long ones. (That came out funny.)
