Has anyone else had an angry spouse, OW, ex H, etc..change their password on LS and post or just change the password? Someone did on mine, and I'm very upset about it..I've had the same one since starting LS last Sept. I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this or not, but it really makes me nervous and suspicious, etc..Is it an OW who knows I'm on here? I don't see any posts that I haven't written, but then again, I logged in this morning and it was the same password that I've been using forever...

Any thoughts?? Anyone?

If you want to see all the posts you have written, use the search function on the bar just below the LoveShack logo at the top of this page. I'm not computer genius but I don't know of any way somebody can steal your password. Either you may have accidentally given it out or you use the same password for various other places where on is required on and off the Internet...a BIG mistake.

Actually, there is at least one other way: on the Infidelity board, you will occasionally find suggestions to use a "key logger" to learn details of someone's computer use. Unless you are a pretty savvy computer user, this will be transparent to you, and even using the best "usual" password security procedures (well constructed passwords, not written down, logging out after use, etc...) will not prevent such an attack from revealing your password.

Now, this attack generally requires physical access to the computer that you are using, at least one time (to install the software), so if it was a very computer savvy OW/OM, he or she would have had to install it and set it up to transmit information to a remote recipient (I believe there are keyloggers that can do this via Email or other methods.)

On the other hand, an attacker living in the house could install it, then just sit down at the computer when you are not present and dump the collected information, which will include everything you type - site names, usernames, passwords, postings, etc...

If you're using Windows XP, you can set up other people with limited access and yourself with password protected Administrator rights. This will prevent anyone else from adding new programs such as a keylogger, to your computer.

Looking at it under different circumstances.....

Although, I do understand your need (and right) to privacy, my secret amuse would be to have all the worst of my past dates/semi-serious relationships read what I've written about them.

I'm not sure that one or two of them would recognize themselves, though, (Smile) -some of them were *that* narcissistic and ego-driven.

But even if the realization were to impact them (that it was them I was referring to in here) I would still miss getting to see the best part: the look creep across their faces as the dawning of realization took place.

Ah! to be a fly on the wall during that!

LOL, Rio, I'm affraid the proverbial fly would just be waisting its time, the ego driven and narcissistic will never have that dawn of realization! God himself could hand your posts to them on stone tablets and that look would still not creep across their faces!

OOD,

Here's a link to my post in Dec. I wonder if it is not a glitch.

So you reset your password to a different pw and the old pw worked the next day? I remember to reset I had to follow a link sent to the email which I signed up on.

Yes, I followed everything to a t.....all instructions that were given in the two email from LS..both requesting reset and confirming...EVERY time I sign in now AFTER I've changed the pwrd to one that is original to me...
