Hi Powered Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 Mr sucker is annoying me. He arrives in the office before dawn and leaves at 8. He creates the image of a hard worker to the bosses yet he is very very dangerous to the people that he works with. Here are some examples of his annoying habits: - He has no experience at all and was employed as a admin support fuction. yet he will not share info or help anyone. He will ask for a lot of help from us ( so that he can move up from his admin role) - He has recently taken a new position - when i ask him to sned me a simple data sheet he will say "it will take me some time - i will have to look for it..." it takes him 3 days and then he copies in the bosses. This is very annoying as I have helped him many times even when i am in the middle of something. I need to either adopt his sly tactic or tell the boss. - It has been brought to my attention by another snake that he may be gaining some of snake's work - I had previously asked for this work and was assured that I would get it. Mr Sucker (with no experience) would really benefit from gaining this work because he has no niche and needs to pretend to have a knowledge area....I need to ensure that i gain this work and he doesnt - how do i do this? - He is trying to get a promotion above my level which is a complete joke because he has no experience - the boss is lapping it up HOW DO I MAKE THE ABOVE POINTS? He needs to be stopped - if i dont create awareness he will get a promotion while i have helped this person and worked much harder. I am getting shafted.
Je Ne Regrette Rien Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 Go to your boss. Tell him you've really enjoyed the extra responsibility of helping Mr Sucker and that although he still has a way to go, you feel you are ready to embrace even more of a challenge - by taking on the new work.
