a4a Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 Exactly. Now if they want to get a civil union....I could care less what they do. More power to them. Whether you think it is right or wrong...homosexuality is a sin according to the Bible. Therefore, marriage is not for homosexuals since marrige is a "holy" union. So like I said, thats why there are civil unions and they can get "married" that way. Well I would prefer a civil union but it is not recognized in hetro couples. :lmao: I was married, but not in the eyes of god. No how the hell is that supposed to work out?

No how the hell is that supposed to work out? Say 3 hail marys, confess to your husband that you like taking a dump more than having sex with him....take 4 shots of Jim Beam, then hurl the shot glass at the next cheater/OM/OW that walks by your house. That'll do it.

That'll do it. I guess you are kidding right? No idea what the you are spewing here..... Jim Beam sucks though. However my point is some people do take their non religious vows quite seriously. Religion has nothing to do with the morals of people nor how serious they take their commitments. I think that should be quite obvious.
hardcase Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 I guess you are kidding right? No idea what the you are spewing here..... Jim Beam sucks though. . Yes sweetie...it was completely a joke. You asked how your marriage would work since you didn't do it in the eyes of God...and I was making a play on advice that a priest would advice in an act of contrition.
riobikini Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 re: LoveLace: " I've read that men only really get married because it's expected of them...not because they really want to. This bothers me! " Proof you can't believe everything you read. So, there's no reason to be bothered, really. -Rio

Yeah well Jim Beam still sucks. And Rio you are so right...... My H was the one who wanted to get married.... hell the whole damn wedding was about him..... I would have preferred a quiet civil union and a nice vacation, not a waste of $ on "showing off"..... ehhh it made him happy........ that is important.
green-eyed beauty Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 Refer to the website that Amerikajin has posted in another thread: nomarriage.com Just kidding! really...20 years ago there was a major study about women in their late 30's having a better chance of being killed by a terrorist than getting married...then 20 years later all of the women featured in the study had gotten married! So...I would say there is no one truth to "men and marriage." I think there are just as many women these days who fear marriage as men, but yet I don't think it's a trend that men fear marriage and women (as the nomarriage.com site would lead men to believe.)
