Hi.

Just wantED to know if any one else out there has "hooked up" with their

ex-wife/husband after they got divorced.

Everybody I know. Yes.

Not in a million years would I ever think of going there..

I have even blocked out all memory images of her so she doesn't pop into my head while I'm masturbating

Why would anyone want to go there unless your are not over them.

I would never have sex with an ex. Not even ex-boyfriends! Yuk!

My ex gf asked me to be friends with benefits 2 weeks after the breakup, which came out of the blue to me, and it just plain devastated me as insulting and cruel, because if she cared for me, she'd want me to get over her, and in my opinion, sex with an ex can only delay that. I certainly felt belittled because I interpreted the request to mean "I'm willing to sleep with you while you are hurt and vulnerable until I find someone else I do want to be my boyfriend." Did my interpretation match her intent? Probably not. I'm sure her intent was "the sex was the best ever, I do like spending time with you, I'm just not in love with you. I don't see why we can't have our needs met until we meet other people." Well, because I wasn't over her, and she was over me! Everyone knows friends with benefits is a HORRIBLE idea if there are feelings and attachment involved, so I was mortified that she'd even ask. It was a slap to my face.

As for an ex-spouse...it happens all the time, just as it happens with ex-gf's and boyfriends. Generally, however, at least one person involved feels used after the moment has passed, even in a mutual split. A few indiscretions are nothing to beat yourself up over, but an ongoing affair...bad for you, and bad for the other person.

Yes, sex with that person is comfortable, but the need you are really filling isn't an orgasm, it is INTIMACY. I won't have sex with an ex. With my ex, if she came crawling back to me on her knees, I would have held off on sex for as long as I could, up to 2 months. She'd have to prove to me that she wanted ME, not missed the sex or intimacy.

It's hard enough to block images during masturbation, because it was the best sex ever, but I'm certainly not going to degrade myself by sleeping with someone who rejected me (unless I'm fully over them). Sex is ultimately an expression of self esteem (or alcohol); it doesn't have to be about love, but when you sleep with someone, the best sex is when you have admiration for the other person, when you take pride in having them in your life. If I've split from someone, they don't really add to my life. There is no pride in sleeping with an ex. I want to sleep with someone who I can walk around to my guy and girl friends and get high fives. An ex? Most people would say "why?!?!"

If you are thinking about this don't.

You've got to be kidding me. If it ever happened, it would be called rape, 'cause I can guarantee that on my side it would not be consensual.:sick:

Isn't that any kind of sex ? :lmao:

Nope. Never hooked up with an ex. I doubt I would ever hook up with my stbxH. Not because I don't like him, but simply because we don't have those sort of feelings for each other anymore.

Okay.. my Brother got divorced from his second wife ( the marriage last a little over a year ) then 8 months after the divorce was final ( the divorce was a nasty one too ) they started dating again and then remarried a few months later..

They have now been married the second time for about 12 years ( give or take )

So I guess they had sex after they got divorced.. so it does happen

You smarta$$!

I actually meant it in a brain-stem-annihilating way and not a sexual way (write it down - Sally missed an opportunity for innuendo!).

I would never have sex with him again. I use to have to get really drunk to do it for the last two years of being married to him. Like REALLY drunk. :)

not with my first...but my second, yes after a year and a half... even some of ex boyfriends yes... I have no enemies LOL

I was once told by a guy that once they sleep with me... it's like I 'stamped them with a hot iron'...they're marked for life... LOL

Don't know if this counts, but my ex and I were separated for a year during which she moved to Hawaii so we had no contact during that time. I heard from her Mom that she was coming back for a visit and, wanting to make the divorce official, had a lawyer draw up the papers (no kids, no house, few possessions) to dissolve the marriage. There wasn't any appointment arranged, we were both to drop by his office and sign the papers at our convenience. As you can guess, we both ended up in his waiting room at the same time...and 30 minutes later we were in bed. Damn!

I had a night of wild and fun sex with my exH after we separated and had no intention of getting back together. It was weird because our sex life sucked in the last few years of our marriage.

Then once an old flame was in town that I'd been crazy about, and several years had passed. We went back to my place, got naked, but just laughed and put our clothes back on. I recall thinking that he didn't look as hot as he used to, and then it occurred to me that he was thinking the same about me!
