so here's the situation:

im in my first year of college and i live in the dorms. theres this girl that lives downstairs that ive taken a liking to. I've probably only known her a few months. we hang out and stuff, and we are both kinda sweet and playful on each other.

We've become pretty good friends. I recently visited her at her house over break. I am probably one of her better guy friends... in terms that im probably the guy that spends the most time with her. But im definitely not stuck in that "friends zone" tho cause its not like she shares EVERYTHING with me and comes to me for advice on other people/guys or anything. haha getting stuck in the "friends zone" is what i fear the most :o but my question is, how can i let her know that i want to be more than friends? I've never ever been good at the whole "friends to something more" conversion :o

cliffnotes: none, read the whole story :D

Maybe you could ask her out for a romantic movie or something along those lines of romance, see how she reacts to it.That should let you know if she is interested or not. I would pick up on it my self threw a romantic movie..:)Good Luck

Does she flirt with you? Are you getting any signals at all that might indicate to you that she wants more?

She could very well feel the same way you do, but want you to make a move.

All you can really do is say something and hope for the right response. If you don't get the right response, drop the subject immediately and forget it ever happened.

yeah we do flirt a lot.. we touch, hug and hold each other a lot. We playfully argue a lot too. We'll be talkin and shes like, "yeah thats great considering u never come visit anymore!" or "cause you are out with your REAL friends!" and just playful junk like that. Sometimes it just seems like shes extra friendly and it goes REALLY great, but othertimes it doesn't go so well and im just like hmmm... but for the most part it goes pretty well. I just want to let her know that I'm interested in her and that i really like spending time w/ her :o

Instead of Zoolander, why not ask her what movie she would like to see then tell her you will take her there.

Just say "lets make a date for Saturday night - dinner and [whatever] movie. I'll pick you up at [xx:xx time]" Then during the evening, or at the end of the evening, lean in and kiss her.

Can't get much plainer than that without actually saying "Hey, I wanna date you, are you interested?"

haha it was more of a give-and-take kind of thing we had going. if she watches zoolander (my pick), im going to have to watch one of her romantic comedies or something :p but yeah we'll see... we're both without cars too hehe
