refresh88 Posted May 11, 2007 Posted May 11, 2007 I started a long distance relationship last year (in february) with a painter from Australia.I met him in France.It was love at first site, amazing. In the beginning, things were a bit complicated because of the distance but there was a lot of enthusiasm and romance.When we met, he was going out with a Chinese woman, but he wasn't really in love with her. He split up with her a few weeks after he met me (despite the fact that she asked him to have an open relationship...). I went to visit him in Australia and had a wondeful time. The only problem was that the chinese woman was sending me weird letters and presents (!!!???). She was asking me to take care of his ex lover cause he was very sensitive...she also gave me money to buy him presents!!!! I tried to ignore her and continue my romance.The painter decided to live with me for a few months in France. It was a total disaster...He became violent (physically and verbally)and broke my heart. I asked him to leave even though i was still in love with him (it sounds silly but yes, i was in love despite all the abuse). Three months after his departure, i saw him again, and couldn't control myself. We had sex 20 times in 2 days and it was great. But i knew that things were over. I tried to move on, but he was sending me emails telling me that there was a letter for me with alot of hurtful things in it...Meanwhile, i found out that now he's back with the chinese woman!!!! I totally hate her!!! I'm still waiting for that letter cause he keeps talking about it (maybe it doesn't exist). Now, i need some advice: I sent him a letter last week (that i wrote a few months ago). I needed to express myself and tell him how i felt about the verbal violence and the humiliation. It's a closure letter of course. Do you think it was a good idea? Will it help? I know that this guy is not for me but i thought it was necessary to write him something in order to close the chapter... I'm still waiting for his letter...
