Hope - There is no real way to answer this question really. There are many men out there and each likes what they like. I have seen obese women in relationships with men, I have seen thin women in relationships with men, and I have seen every size and shape in-between women in relationships with men.

I saw a couple last week at a party. He was skinny and good looking and she was average looking and about 250lbs. Beauty must be in the eye of the behold. For her defence...she did have a good personality.

were they married? Possibly she gained weight after they got married and maybe if they had kids and didn't lose it. Or he just has a thing for big women. In any case, good for him.

its all good when it comes to chicks H1975.....I like mine with a bit 'o meat on them. I've dated women who were size 2 and women who were 30 lbs heavy and everything in between.....they were all beautiful and sexy in their own way. My preference would be a woman who is the ideal weight plus about 10-15lbs.

How YOU doin'?

I don't get the point of continuing to question as if there's one surefire preference for every guy and if a woman achieves this one physical male ideal, she can date any guy she wants because every single man will be attracted to her.

I know that everyone is different & everyone has different opinions and that's why I'm asking...obviously there isn't one single male ideal otherwise we'd all be in trouble, but, like everything in life, there is a majority leaning towards one way or the other...that's what I am curious about.

You know I read this entire thing and sure every guy said they prefer curvy women, but seriously some of them are talking out their a**.

My boyfriend's roommate was like yeah I like curvy women so my bf jokingly said "dont touch my gf" and he goes "Shes not curvy, she barely has an ass."

Um, hello? When did curves become solely based on how big your boobs and butt are? Those are NOT the only definition of curves but Hollywood seems to think so.

I have measurements of 34D-26-35 and I get called fat by some, and I get called too thin by others. The majority of my guy friends say I am too thick for their tastes. Whatever! I am thin yet very curvy and I am damn proud of my body.

To all those who said they like a tummy pooch, thank you. I dont have one but I have always been scared of getting one.

It really shocks me if guys are telling women straight up that they are fat or too "thick" for their tastes. Since when did it become acceptable for men to become so rude and hateful to women? It's almost like women are on the earth just to meet up to men's physical preferences and they can just be rude to us if we don't. If a man ever told me that, I'd tell him that he's too fugly for me!

I'm not sure you can generalize like that. Each person has a different definition and also if you look at individual women, you can have the same measurements and have a completely different look to your body.

One indisputeable curvy body is Selma Hayek. She reeks sensuality in her features and her body.

I agree, I've heard alot of guys that say derogatory things to women in regards to their weight. I know that everyones different & attraction can be based on alot of other things apart from weight, but I have a couple of friends who are bigger & I've heard people say stuff that's not very nice. I even heard one sales lady say to my friend that they don't have anything in the shop her size & she should try somewhere else. Now my friend is not huge...probably around 150 lbs.

I guess the whole "weight" issue kind of confuses me a bit...at 150lbs some people think your perfect, others think your too big, others think your too skinny.

Maybe the key is just to be happy within yourself, and ignore anyone that doesn't like it ;)

I don't think 150 is enormous. But maybe it's her body shape that the salesperson was talking about. Maybe the clothes there are all cut the same and the way your friend's weight is distributed made it not possible for her to fit into anything they had? Does she have a big torso with thin legs or something?

Because I would think that having that body type would probably be the hardest to find clothes that flatter or possibly fit.

If anything she has a small torso & bigger legs, it was in a surf shop, and I always thought the sizes there were a pretty generous fit. She looks very much in proportion to me, but then again I'm totally confused now as to what people see as a "normal" size :)

I think your bf's roommate really does like fuller figured women. Which is great.

I really don’t understand the obsession with large boobs. After about a C cup they start looking like something that belongs on a side show freak and the fake ones even moreso. I’ve seen older (40s, 50s) women, obviously not wearing bras, with their breasts hanging nearly to their waist. It is not a pretty sight.

Smaller breasts tend to have a much nicer shape as compared to the blobiness of larger breasts and hold up much nicer over the years.

Say what you will but fat is just not pretty. Fat men are just as disgusting as fat women. Fatness is mostly the result of laziness and overeating – a life out of balance and unhealthy. You don’t see a lot of fat 80 year olds do you? All the fat people die off early and rightly so. It doesn’t take a lot to be and remain at a normal weight – just eat right and do something even if it’s only walking.

My girlfriend is 5’5” size 5, B cup and I find her body size and shape to be ideal. She’s healthy and takes care of herself and not just to satisfy my or anyone else’s preference. She has pride in her appearance.

The woman who posted that guys were calling her "fat"...she is not fat at all, she stated she was thin but curvy. She even posted her measurements, and said others had called her thin. Anyway it is not up to men to state that, that is just rude and uncalled for. I am a size 6 and do work out myself and I enjoy how I look, but I just can't imagine if a guy felt the need to state to me that I was not thin enough. Yes, I appreciate it when people compliment my figure and such. However I would have to gain about 30 pounds to be at the point where I was unhealthily overweight, like what you were talking about. People who are overweight to the point where it's a healthrisk are already aware of the fact they are overweight. I'm just saying that I was appalled that guys could be so rude to her to tell her she was too "thick" or "fat."

....when I think "curvy" i think of rosie odonnell. why do women have so many code words for fat?

Who said that women came up with that? Also you can be thin and curvy. Think Scarlett Johannsen. See, you have the wrong interpretation of curvy because it doesn't mean fat. Rosie O'Donnell is shapeless, no curve going into the waist. So she's not curvy. Also, you've heard of Marilyn Monroe? Curvy. Get it now?

I dont' agree one bit. Skinny girls have no curves unless they get breast enhancement.

An overweight woman would technically have more "curves" than a skinny woman. Have you seen a naked fat body? There isn't a straight line on it.

IMO an example of curvy would be the woman George is married to on Grey's Anatomy, the hispanic-looking woman. I don't remember her name or her character's name. But she is curvy.

"Curvy" to me is Delta Burke at her heftiest. Same with that other actress from Cheers when she was HUGE....um whats-her-name. She does those weight loss commericals.

but they are all beautiful... no?

All women have curves that is how we are made

I might call that "full figured."

I call myself "curvy," but people always tell me that I'm too small to be curvy.

But I am curvy, just small and curvy....so "full figured and curvy?"

Curvy is always good! Straight body build is good, too! Anything but very overweight or very underweight....there's a range.

Heck, guys just want a naked woman, anyway!
