Okay, lame question, I know...

I'm just curious, what do you girls typically wear on a first date? A second? Third? Do you stick with the tried-and-true?

In the past I have actually had outfits ready to go - no fail, guaranteed-appropriate outfits. However, that was when I was living in a more moderate climate. Where I am now gets freakin' HOT in the summer, and I'm starting to worry about wearing too little and lookin' hoochie-ish!! :o

And guys, what would you expect/hope a girl (that you are sincerely interested in, not just for sex!!) would wear on a first/second/third date??

Curious to see your opinions...

Good post, never really thought about it before.

Well as a guy I think I might be able to assists. Now I don't claim to be any kind of expert on womens clothing or anything eithers.

First off, it really depends a lot about what you guys plan on doing on the date.

If your going for coffee or to a movie or something semi-casual is ok I would say. Jeans, maybe some kind of a button up shirt. Since you said its hot I would say capri pants would be a good substitute for shorts.

How about you list some of your ideas for good outfits and we'll judge how appropriate they'd be lol.

Tan, you know that low cut on me would make me look hoochie-ish. Boobs boobs everywhere.

Form fitting but modestly cut is always classy.

  StarGazer, nice problem to have! I'm very envious....

Really, Tan, a BLACK top?

I always think to wear something with color, like a a sapphire blue top to match my eyes....or something red....hmm, might have to rethink that. Black just seems too severe on me, but I love it on guys!

I live where it's very hot, and I usually just wear a sexy halter style top with jeans and bring a light zip up or jean jacket.

I'll also wear longer skirts with tank tops or camis, or shorter skirts with a more modest tee shirt or top that covers my shoulders. Again, always bringing the jacket for the cold air conditioned restaurants.

Yes to capris or skirts, but NO to shorts.

Jcster, Can you give us an example?

Like a longer sundress that fits closely to our body and shows our curves?

Or a pair of capris with a closely fitted top that isn't low cut, but again, shows our shape?

I kind of have the rule of showing one body part at a time. Like a halter with jeans, or a short skirt with a more modest top that covers more.

There's nothing like wearing a sexy, yet tasteful, halter top under a zip up jacket and then unzipping the jacket during dinner, after a glass of wine...while saying "Gee, it's getting hot in here." ;)

Oh my... not nice.

Classy... keep it classy even in the heat. It's nice to "wonder" what's underneath it all. And yes, guys always wonder what's underneath it all.

Capris are def. the way to go in the summer. Or a semi-long skirt. (Not talking like non-like, but not some little mini-skirt type thing). Also tank tops are alright, but if you are equipped in the chestal region (like me) you could wear a camisol (sp?) underneith. They make you look less skankish, and yes I agree with Krytellan, that it makes guys curious what is underneith. Keep it a little more conservative on the first 3 dates or so, before you actually start seeing the guy on a regular basis. Then you can start showing off some of your assets a little more.

I've been doing capris and cute tops with a cami underneath to cover "the girls" up. But it's getting HOT. And hotter and hotter and hotter. I'm thinking because I've been seeing this guy for a little bit, he knows I'm "classy" and not "trampy" by now, enabling me to wear a little less.... Hmm.

Yeah I would agree that it does get hot with two shirts on, especially when it's like 90 degrees out. If you've been seeing the guy for awhile now, I'm sure you could maybe start wearing a little sexier outfits. I wear low cut tops when I'm with my boyfriend now, and he can't stop staring at me and tells me how hot I look. How long have you been together?
