WigWam123 Posted May 7, 2007 Posted May 7, 2007 Hello everyone, I have a dilemma. I just reconnected with a male childhood friend through a friend website (I am female). The last time we saw each other was 15 years ago. So when we did reconnect, it was very surreal but good. At first, we would exchange very very friendly emails. He would even put at the end "Yours always and dear friend" or "I remember those nights with you". He would at least send me a message once every few days. One night we decided to chat through the IM. All the feelings that were building up came out onto the table. He said he had such a crush on me and I did the same. He said that I should've told him then maybe we could've had a relationship together. He said he wanted to kiss me. He said that he had thought about me so much throught the years and wondered how I was and where I was. He said I had grown into a beautiful woman, and hoped that I wasn't disappointed with him that he wasn't what I had thought. He even said that after soooo many years that the feelings are still there and strong and he even wanted to come visit me where I was so that he could just touch me and he could imagine how intense it would be. Basically I told him a lot of the same things, except I said that things are going a little too quickly hence we just got reconnected. I said we shouldn't rush anything that we waited 15 years for this that another year or so won't hurt. The last thing he said to me in the IM was for me to never forget him and he'll never forget me. So, after that night I had emailed him a few times to see how he's doing....Nothing!! Not even a Hello.... not even Hi. He won't respond to my emails and he's never on anymore to chat. It's been 3 weeks and it seems like he's ignoring me!! I don't even see that he has visited my page. But i am still in his top 4... hasn't changed that at least. But I guess I am stumped!? What happened ??? And why is he establishing no contact with me?? I am a little heart broken over this. Can anyone help or at least make my mind a little clearer as to what went wrong here ?? He never indicated being mad at me. SO... what exactly went wrong and why NC?? I'm really sad over this!!

kepners Posted May 7, 2007 Posted May 7, 2007 lakeside again a seriously TUFF post, you a person of considerable experince i am getting the feeling! my 2cents worth hard seem worth it as lakeside has nailed it. other than that you knocked him by saying wait a year blah blah balh.... thats all it can be i feel one or the other. you can leave it a month or so then try again. god damn you lakeside! haha OH AND MYSPACE!
annabelle75 Posted May 7, 2007 Posted May 7, 2007 There is a possibility that maybe by telling him to wait a year he may have felt rejected and is going on NC, but from my experience I almost think he might have been blowing smoke up your a** with all his emotional declarations. I personally have been contacted by a number of former classmates and friends on Myspace that have expressed interest and former crushes only to have them drop off contact when I didn't jump at the chance to meet up and have sex with them. I'm very weary of any guy that I reconnect with on Myspace these days. Especially when its been such a long time you have no idea what kind of men they have become. Sorry he upset you so much. Its probably best to stop sending him emails. If he really felt they way about you that he said, he will eventually conatct you again.
Author WigWam123 Posted May 8, 2007 Author Posted May 8, 2007 Thanks all for posting. Any suggestion is good even the harsh ones. I take them all into concideration. Still hasn't contacted me. I still talk to his family though. You see, when we were younger we were very very close (all of us), that's why I am stumped as to why he won't talk to me anymore. I am still talking to his brother and sister. So, maybe in the future we will reunite. We are already in the talks of going to Vegas for a reunion. Thanks all and I will definately keep you updated!
