PWSX3 Posted May 1, 2007 Posted May 1, 2007 I feel I have come up with some pretty good ideas for dates for the wife, but I'm always looking for new ones. Here are a couple of my favorites we have done and hopefully others can give suggestions. 1) Took the W to a nice restaurant and we sat down and started looking at the menu. Then I handed her a piece of paper & pencil and on the paper it said his and on mine it said hers & told her she had to order for me & I was ordering for her. It could be anything you wanted to get for your spouse. When the waitress came back to the table I explained what we were doing and she took the two pieces of paper. It was really fun because everytime the waitress walked by she would smile at us because she knew what we ordered for each other. She even said she was going to try it with her boyfriend because she liked the idea. Anyway when we got our food we both got the same thing for each other and maybe that is why the waitress was smiling so much. 2) The W likes hockey so I got two tickets for a game. Then to spice it up instead of just telling her or giving them to her in a card I went to our local grocery store and had them decorate a cake looking like a hockey rink. Then I added a zamboee & the two tickets on the top and gave her the cake as her invitation. Anyone else have some good ideas, it never hurts to learn some neat ideas to spend an evening with your spouse.
ilmw Posted May 1, 2007 Posted May 1, 2007 PW... did you pick up "Light Her Fire"? Also... google dates and Romantic things to do.. You would be surprised what you will find? ilmw
Aloros Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 What's romantic for one couple isn't necessarily romantic for the next. My bf and I both enjoy bicycle riding, so a great date for us is a ride through wine country, stopping to taste, buy wines, and having a picnic on the way. We're both adventurous and love to learn, so we're planning on taking a SCUBA certification course in the summer together, and then planning a subsequent vacation somewhere where we can dive. Having a great time with your SO doesn't have to be limited to a one-night date. Spending the day at an amusement park. This one's fun too, if you like rollercoasters. Take a day off from work and go on a weekday. Or go when it rains and have the park to yourself! Ooh! Or sometimes at the end of a long day, we take a bubble bath with candles and wine. It's a nice way to unwind. Make it extra spicy by soaping each other up and shampooing one another's hair.
a4a Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 Okay ........ let's start with these questions 1. what is something that you and your wife have wanted to do together but just have not done it yet? (you should enjoy the date too) 2. what is your budget? 3. Can you realistically pull it off? *************************** I would love anything that had some planning behind it. Even a dinner out to a reg. place with flowers with a card waiting at our table..... Then again I don't get squat so I have a pretty good imagination of what would be nice.
MWC_LifeBeginsAt40 Posted May 3, 2007 Posted May 3, 2007 You'd think it would be easy if you've been with your partner for a while. lovingyou dot com has lots of ideas I can never think of what I want to do with a new partner when he asks me to plan something. I like surprises, so I would be easy to please. I've just never found a guy who will surprise me. I am not easily surprised lol
