Whats so embarassing about that? I think its great because you are proving all these loudmouths wrong that say that you can't meet any good people at a bar and that the bar is only good for ONS's.

on Match.com...

But I had known her for years thru work ( she was a client ) I just didn't know who she was when we were talking on Match.

We did not realize it until weeks later after I sent her my work email and she said " You're Art from so and so ?? I'm P from so and so..".. We still laugh at that..

Yes, you have a point. That's true. But I really do understand why people think you can't meet good people at a bar. For the most part, I agree with that. I was just lucky and it was a fluke that we were both there that night.

We were both teachers at the same college, and I borrowed five dollars for lunch.

I really did need to borrow the money. But also, someone had just told me that if a person does you a favor they start to like you more, so I tried it, and it worked.

I do agree that for the most part you will not meet a good person capable of a long lasting healthy relationship in a bar, but it is still possible. If you don't want to be disappointed, then don't go to the bar hoping to meet someone. Just go with the flow.

Yes, exactly. That's always the way I looked at it too.

We'd known each other all our lives, but I first saw him in the bathroom mirror. I still shudder at that vision of loveliness.

Good point. But where there's a will, there's a way.

Funny how so many people have met in bars and such. I too met my fiancee at the bar that I work at. It's funny, when I was younger I wanted to settle down early and had no luck, when I finally decided to "have some fun" the first woman I meet, we get engaged, weird.

I don't understand why they get such a bum rap. If you don't meet your future husband or wife, then there is plenty of other action going on. Kind of a win-win situation, really.
