Pyro Posted April 28, 2007 Posted April 28, 2007 Technically we met at school but we started talking a year later after we ran into each other at a bar.
Lauriebell82 Posted April 28, 2007 Posted April 28, 2007 I met my boyfriend at the gym..we both love to work out.

I think its great because you are proving all these loudmouths wrong that say that you can't meet any good people at a bar and that the bar is only good for ONS's.
Art_Critic Posted April 29, 2007 Posted April 29, 2007 on Match.com... But I had known her for years thru work ( she was a client ) I just didn't know who she was when we were talking on Match. We did not realize it until weeks later after I sent her my work email and she said " You're Art from so and so ?? I'm P from so and so..".. We still laugh at that..

But I really do understand why people think you can't meet good people at a bar. For the most part, I agree with that. I was just lucky and it was a fluke that we were both there that night.
jerbear Posted April 29, 2007 Posted April 29, 2007 or spouse/fiance(e)? just wondering I dont' know where I will or have met her, when I find out I will update this thread. :lmao: Actually, most of mine were thru friends and the "larger & extended" family.

Woggle Posted April 29, 2007 Posted April 29, 2007 I met her eating fish and chips outside of a seafood place on the boardwalk.
Storyrider Posted April 29, 2007 Posted April 29, 2007 We were both teachers at the same college, and I borrowed five dollars for lunch. I really did need to borrow the money. But also, someone had just told me that if a person does you a favor they start to like you more, so I tried it, and it worked.

I do agree that for the most part you will not meet a good person capable of a long lasting healthy relationship in a bar, but it is still possible. If you don't want to be disappointed, then don't go to the bar hoping to meet someone. Just go with the flow.

pelagicsands Posted April 29, 2007 Posted April 29, 2007 We'd known each other all our lives, but I first saw him in the bathroom mirror. I still shudder at that vision of loveliness.

pelagicsands Posted April 29, 2007 Posted April 29, 2007 I didn't think that dwarfs could see that high up. Good point. But where there's a will, there's a way.
mrmaximum Posted April 29, 2007 Posted April 29, 2007 Funny how so many people have met in bars and such. I too met my fiancee at the bar that I work at. It's funny, when I was younger I wanted to settle down early and had no luck, when I finally decided to "have some fun" the first woman I meet, we get engaged, weird.
pelagicsands Posted April 29, 2007 Posted April 29, 2007 Funny how so many people have met in bars I don't understand why they get such a bum rap. If you don't meet your future husband or wife, then there is plenty of other action going on. Kind of a win-win situation, really.
