Simple question, really: How long is it from when you think/know you're in love to when you actually pluck up the courage to say it?! Do you always wait for the man to say it first?

Having come out of a long marriage I think I'm falling head over heels for someone new but it's been so long since I've been in love that I'm not sure what I'm feeling! He might run a mile if I admit to having feelings for him now (6 weeks in) but how long is reasonable before one of you can admit to anything?!

Well, lets just say that people can be alarmed if it is said right away in a relationship. Lets say like within the first month of dating someone. I would say you should say it when you mean it and don't worry about it.

Well my bf told me he loved me after about a month 1/2 also..and I said it back! I have never ever said it first actually, i always usually wait for the guy to say it. If u feel that compelled to say it than ok, but honestly I have never said it first and never plan to. I dont know if i could stand to not hear it back. Don't hold back your feelings, but maybe tell your bf how much you "care" about him. Thats always a good "leading into love" phrase.

If you really do feel that you have to say it first then go ahead, but you will run the risk of possibly either scaring him off, or him not saying it back. Do what's best for you though, I dont think there is a "wrong" time to say it. (accept for like a week of dating someone, i dont think you can fall in love that quickly).

good luck!

Honestly I think a lot of people don't know when to unless they know for sure the other person will say it back. Nothing worse then saying it and not having them say it back or something worse.

I think some hope the other person says it first.
