Icantletgo Posted April 27, 2007 Posted April 27, 2007 As you all know I was the one who initiated NC with my cheating ex. But I can't stop feeling like I wish he would call me!!! I was doing FABULOUS until I found out that him and his new slut/hoe bag are official!!! The last time he attempted to contact me was his bday on Monday at 2 am. I know I wouldn't talk to him but why do I want him to call me so bad. I know everyone says he will call me again..but I feel like now that he's officially moved on he won't. I know, I know...this is for the best...but I cant' help but feel SAD!
krzr Posted April 27, 2007 Posted April 27, 2007 let go...easier said than done but what difference does it make if they are official or not the situation is still the same hes with her and not you and he cheated on you which is the ultimate betrayal. its natural to want him to talk to you and miss him and feel sad about it even but theres nothing you can do except stay no contact and slowly let go and move on.

Belovely Posted April 27, 2007 Posted April 27, 2007 I went through the same thing Icantletgo, only my ex got involved with one of my supposed friends, asked her to marry him, and later actually did marry her all within 3 months. For me, it stung like hell because I got it from two sides, so my heart was broken as well as my ego. For months after hearing this news, I pined for him and I prayed he would call. However, I knew I didn't want him and if he called it wouldn't change that fact. It wasn't until recently that I realized that the only reason I wanted him to call was for self-validation. I wanted to know that he still wanted me, that I was still good enough for him. I didn't want to believe that he moved on and I wanted to know that he cared and loved me as much as I had. I didn't want him to be happy with anyone but me. But all of this was to satisfy my ego and reassure myself that I was still good enough. However, we don't need this kind of validation or self reassurance from men who treat us the way your ex and my ex did. Honestly, anything from them isn't worth it. Now I know that even if I had gotten or still get the validation i'm looking for from him, it won't satisfy me, because the damage is done. I'm learning that the only reassurance and validation I can get is from myself. And truly we are better off! Hey let the new girls deal with their cheating, their lies, their false love, and their flaws. Icantletgo, just keep yourself occupied and know that there is someone out there that is just waiting to make you forget the ex even existed. And just remember when that happens, you'll have found love that is true, while he'll still be blinding someone with false love. In the end, who do you think wins? ; )
