There's this great guy that I sort of have feelings for. The only problem is that whenever I'm around him, I just feel dumb. He's really unique and next fall he'll be attending this extremely elite university. It's not that though. It's the way he carries himself. He's nice to everyone, he has unique hobbies, he's just really..almost above me? Often, when I'm around him I don't have much to say, just becase I guess I just don't feel up to par in intelligence, personality, etc. Pathetic, huh? Comments? Advice?

This one is easier than you think. They (I don't know who they are, but I digress...) often say smart people tend to over analyze the situation. It sounds to me that is what you're doing. It doesn't matter this guy's social status, personality, intelligence, whatever. Be yourself, and if he doesn't like you for who you are, than you are better off with another. You have more to bring to the table than you're letting on. Confidence, confidence, confidence! Good luck!

confidence and the ability to blag is what you need. Plus just keep what you say simple. Try talking more and you should ease up.

I don't believe that, you got some talents even if you may think it's insignificant that's waiting to be discovered. Be yourself.

I know how you're feeling because I'm in a similar situation. There is this guy in a couple of my classes that I am really interested in. He is extremely intelligent and an all around nice guy. Whenever I'm around him I get really nervous and everything I plan on saying just seems to come out sounding really stupid. The key is definitely confidence, which is what I am trying to work on.

You have to stop over analyzing everything you say to this guy and just be yourself. Try to start short conversations with him when you see him, but try not to put so much pressure on yourself to be extremely witty or brilliant. The more you talk to him and just be yourself, the easier it will be to talk to him in the future and the more confidence you will gain.

If someone doesn't like you for being you the Eff 'em. You can never make anyone like you (I've tried) Be your self no matter how dorky you are, and if they don't like you , some one else will. At least I hope that's the way it works, if not I'm screwed. :)
