I'm currently not practicing it right now but i feel that if two people do NOT have feelings for each other anymore and the breakup was actually "NORMAL" (as normal as a breakup can be) then why not? He knows what you like (sexually speaking) and you trust him.

We knew it was over so it was okay but it ended after awhile and we didn't talk after that. The other way I see it going is that one party begins to have feelings again and it gets messy all over again. Also, if you are FWB, then if you do find someone truly amazing, you won't be able to fully give that person a chance or it may ruin things with that person if they found out.

From what I've seen, usually someone ends up hoping that it's a way to get back together, often in the dumpee's case. And it never works. Also, if you are FWB, then if you do find someone truly amazing, you won't be able to fully give that person a chance or it may ruin things with that person if they found out. I definitely agree with this. No one can truly move on while being in a fwb relationship with an ex. Moving on means ending all kinds of intimacy, sexual and otherwise with the ex. No fwb relationship with an ex is worth the heartache, imho.
