longlegzs80 Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 This is how I float along in life. I give up without even trying. When I make that statment, it means with everything in life. My college field I have givin up without even trying to get into my field, my dating life, I don't make a move on someone who could be interested or that might show interest. My financial life, I don't have any controll over anymore, its a mess and I have pretty much givin up on that. My eatting habits, I over eat fast food, everyday all day and I find myself to be an emotional eatter. I want to eat healthier, but I have givin up on that without trying to make changes. I'm a mess gang. Can someone help me get my life on track. Or has someone experienced something similar and came out of the slump. Please let me know.
whichwayisup Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 You need to make yourself accountable for your actions. Be tougher on yourself, and talk to your friends/family about helping you more. It does sound like you're depressed, or atleast very down on yourself, life and your goals. I understand how crappy you feel - Some days (well, let's say MOST of February and half of March) I feel like you do, but I MAKE myself BE accountable. It's hard to do, but you gotta care more about you. Start off really slow. Accomplish ONE thing a day, and BE proud of yourself for sticking with it! Tomorrow here's your goal - Go grocery shopping and buy salad, fruit, pasta, chicken etc., and cook yourself a nice meal. You'll feel better!! MAKE yourself go for a walk, if you don't want to go alone, ask a friend to go with you, or a neighbour... Question - Do you want to get OUT of this funk?? Be TOUGH on yourself. Consider going to a therapist, it can only help.
