Nikki99 Posted April 21, 2007 Posted April 21, 2007 ok, Joe and I mutually know Becca, who is a friend of his ex-wife's. She always stayed neutral when they got their divorce..... she liked both Joe and his ex-wife, so naturally when Joe and I started dating seriously I got to meet her and she welcomed me with open arms. Well, this past weekend was the first one since Joe left me. One thing Joe always said to me ALL the time was, "if we didn't work out, you would find another guy within a week.... you would have a new boyfriend within a couple of weeks.... you would be fine, you would bounce back, etc etc." I always told him he meant the world to me and that wouldn't be the case. Sometimes i think he would ask for his ego..... Anyhow, I did go out with my friend Gina last night at her urging. We went to a nightclub that is known to be a meat market but it was better than sitting home. I saw Becca there! She says "where is joe? Is he here?" I said, "No, i'm with my girlfriend.... Joe is confused.... needed time to think so even though I love him i'm trying to give him space to sort things out...." Becca said, oh Joe has ALWAYS been like this! I said what do you mean? She said, Paula he has been confused for YEARS about what he wants!!!! Believe me! Then she said, "I had heard about what happened between you guys." Now, I KNOW Joe would never have told her or contacted her. BUT I know what happened. He contacted his ex-wife who has been BEGGING HIM BACK RELENTLESSLY forever, and he told HER that he broke up with me. She in turn must have called Becca. So I think i was right all along; Joe and Joyce working things out. I told Becca "I just want to respect him enough to give him some space right now. I don't want to do things like Joyce did... she never would stop calling him to let him think things through." and Becca said, "paula, she was RELENTLESS" We hugged goodbye. So now you tell me. NC is a good thing? Won't he think I moved on now? (we broke up last weekend) Becca saw men trying to give me their numbers, etc... she is sure to tell joyce and/or joe. Joyce NEVER instigated NC and here she is, in contact with him and probably working things out. If I do it, he will think I don't care. thoughts?
