I should just be using one topic for this, but I have some online conversations between me and this girl I like. If there are any girls or people with better relationship skillz than me (because I have none), a proper translation would be nice. Thanks

These were the first set:

ME: hey _____. what are your plans for tonight? i was wondering if you would like to go to catch a flick. have you heard about the new Jim Carrey film, The Number 23? shoot me a message back if you are interested.

HER: Sure, that sounds like a lot of fun! What's the plan?

HER: Number 23 sounds good, or just whatever you want to watch is okay with me. Just call me. My number is ____________. Talk to you soon.

after the first date:

ME: (I ask her about if she had a good time or not, etc. and leave a message on her phone)

HER: Hey ______ (me). Sorry I didn't answer your call the other night, but it must have been after I went to bed because I just got your message this morning. I had a really good time the other night, and you're really fun to hang out with, so I think we should be friends.

after a few random phone calls and messages a week later.

HER: _______ (me), I think you're kind of confused, and I probably haven't been clear enough up to this point, but I'm not interested in you in that way. You're cool to talk to in class and stuff, but I'm not interested in an out of class relationship.

Ok. Now what the heck is up with this? Everything goes well and this happens. Does she categorize me as a friend or am I just a "nothing" in her book. Please help me figure out what to do next.

Here is the deal guys. She doesnt compltely brush me off or ignore messages and calls, but does that really mean anything?

She said in no uncertain terms that she thinks you're cool in class and stuff. She also said "I think we should be friends". Never an encouraging sign. If a girl is genuinely interested they WILL let you know about it.

If you want my advice, be a man and get any thoughts of her being your girlfriend right out of your head.

yeah, but what does it mean now. can i still talk and such or am i "forbidden" to do that? it is so whack because i never wanted us to date, just be friends. Help!?

I think she made it clear. There is nothing confusing bro. Do you need to get hit over the head with a 4x4? She enjoys your company as a friend. Don't be a doormat. Don't be a wuss and respond. Don't ask her out or call any more. No explanation to her needed. Just be freindly if you see her, say Hi and walk on. Just let it go. No worries. I think you need to do some online reading about dating skills and being a player. You were no challenge, so not interesting to her (it might not have made a difference anyway). You called and asked if she had a good time? Don't be a dork anymore. You have to be the one in control and confident about yourself. Go hone your dating skills. Good luck.

yeah man i understand what you are saying, but my anger is getting in the way and instead of being a gentleman when i am around her i just sulk and look pissed off. i have to confront her to get all these feeling off my chest. i am getting more and more frustrated as time goes on and i need some advice before i freaking panic.

No, you do not have to confront her.

She did not lead you on. She did nothing wrong.

You are disappointed, and that's a sucky feeling.

But deal with your hurt feelings on your own. There is no point, or reason, to confront her.

Um, yes you did. (1) In your very first post you say that you "like" her. (2) You called your movie-outing a "date." (3) You're about to panic.

CHILL OUT. She simply doesn't like you in the same way you like her. There's NO NEED to 'confront' her. She's made it clear to you in no uncertain terms that she wants nothing more than your FRIENDSHIP. If you can't handle being NOTHING MORE than simply her FRIEND, don't call/talk to her anymore.
