kaien Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 In a new relationship(3months now), but came across some problems. What does it mean when my SO completely forgot my birthday? I mentioned when it was in an email, and she even asked me personally before. At this age, I don't really care about my birthday, but it makes me feel that she's not listening to a word that I am saying. Any thoughts about this? Thanks
District Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 i dont think you should worry too much. personally, i dont really care for nor celebrate birthdays, esp mines. its just a reminder that i'm not getting any younger. i can really say as to if she really knew about your recent big day but this doesnt mean she's not listening to you. this isnt a big problem so dont dwell on it. but if it really bothers you that much you can try "casually" bringing up the topic of "birthdays" and how much "it sucks to be 1 year older" and see whats her take.

rainfall Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 I wouldn't worry about it to much. I forget all my friends birthdays and even forgot my boyfriend's b-day one year. (by this time we had been together 2 years.) Its not that I don't care about them I just really don't think about dates too much. Thankfully they have all gotten use to me forgetting everything so they don't get too mad.
