WaterStar Posted April 17, 2007 Posted April 17, 2007 I have been dating this really nice guy. A lot in common. Tonight was out 4th date. Things went well, we are taking things slow, but an odd thing came up. He mentioned to me that one of his friends wants to date me as well. I did not know how to respond to that. I said who, he said that it was his friend that I met last week (I thought the guy may have had a thing for me, everytime I looked up he was looking at me, maybe my guy noticed the eye contact we were making???). I told him I was not interested cause I do not do the circle dating thing. We both know we are dating others (both out of serious long term relationships) and he said that he thought it was fair to let me know since I was looking to meet others here (I just moved here) and I said yeah to hang out with, but I want to date you (the guy I am currently seeing) I told him I was not interested in his friend. And he said ok. I just do not know what to make of this...I have had guys tell me their friends thought I was cute, or nice or whatever, but nothing to that extent. Was this somekind of a test, general information, or what? Does anyone have any insight? I thought it might be a test (cause of the eye contact thing), but then I thought that maybe he was loosing interest and maybe trying to set my attention somewhere else...but he held my hand, caressed it, touched me a lot during the movie, made plans for another date, and I got a kiss on the cheek goodnight (would have been lips, but he had a sore throat and did not want to give it to me. I am just confused. I like this guy, and I just want some insight.

Probably went something like: Friend: "Nice work buddy, your new chick is hot, I think she caught me staring" Your guy: "Thanks, I can't wait to tap that" and so he knew he had a plausible way to test if you like him
