Guest Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 Hey guys, at the ripe old age of 28, I've just expeirenced my first break up. My ex-girlfriend and I have been seeing each other for 6 months and it's been intense. She suffers pretty badly with depression, something i can sympathize with and She's recently started taking antidepressants. However, her symptoms have actually gotten far worse... leading (in part) to the break down of our relationship. I've tried to be there for her, but she hits out at me when she's low and that in turn makes her worse because she hates the way she treats me. After talking about the subject in depth we/she decided that the best thing is to let her try to 'consolidate' her life before moving forward. She says still in love with me; can't imagine life without me and is desperate to retain my friendship. I don't really want to lose her as a friend or girlfriend as she's amazing (though her low esteem prevents her from seeing this). Any ideas on what to do?
