I've always tested above average on IQ tests between 127-132 all throughout school & even now. BUT I'm incredibly gullible & naive! Why is that? I was just curious... Does that conicide?

Also...some people on myspace post their IQ tests on their myspace page, I posted mine, but would that seem like I'm bragging? I've posted other attributes that would constitute being intellectually aware, but I was just wondering if that would turn people off? Even if my friends didn't exactly know what it is? I'm the nicest person you'll ever meet, so they shouldn't turn their backs if they learn the real me as being a mind-thinking dork lol. But I'm afraid they will :( I also posted "don't be afraid to be yourself" which is SO true, but I'm just worried I guess.

I'm the same way. I have a really high IQ but most the world just would never pick that up about me. Most of the time I seem clueless.

I think it has something to do with having intelligence but it takes longer for the sense to come. At least that's how it is in my case.

Some people are like that... they're very book-smart but have no common sense. The world needs a little bit of everything.

As for Myspace.. I wouldn't worry, gullible chicks enjoy a certain... admiration over there....

many people that are very intelligent also lack some in the social skills dept.

Find out what your emotional IQ is, it's not uncommon for people to overachieve in one category and underachieve in another.

I'm a total dingbat, I do stupid, stupid, stupid things sometimes. I locked my keys in the car, twice, in one week, at the same store... with my child inside. They thought I was insane.

People often assume that I'm not all that bright. I'm a bit slow when it comes to catching on to certain things, but my IQ is in the above average category as well. I think it's normal, we can be book smart, we can be street smart, we can be logical, we can be emotional... but rarely can we be all of the above.

I posted this on myspace because most of the people (friends) don't know all my talents, they just think of me as being a fun, happy go lucky kinda girl. But I want them to know there is more to me than just a party-type girl. So..I posted this, and please tell me if I should take if off if it sounds corny or edit parts that I should leave out or what. I just want people to take me more seriously. I mean my friends know that I have a nice career and know that I'm well-rounded, but it's just a lil more hint as to what I'm all about.

"My hero is: Albert Einstein because he was very intense and it's true that we have 3 of the same characteristics...

Sometimes I hide certain attributes that constitute being intellectually aware and I will admit that sometimes I can be slightly naive..but..I've learned not be afraid to be myself and not to care what other people think. If you're blessed with opportunity, embrace it."

Maybe I'm being retarded here lol but please tell me if I should take it off or leave it. How will people react to it do you think?

I never had an offical IQ test done.

However I did one of those IQ tests over the computer and scored I think 115 or something.

Should take one. I wanted to know for sure how stupid I am. :p:laugh:

OP:

If you want to post it then post it. Who cares. :D

Keep it up! It is awesome that you are smart! It is always fun when a person has many talents and qualities. :)

Good for you!

As long as we live in this world, different people have different opinions. If we listen to what people say about us, what their expections for us to be an "ideal person", I'd rather shoot myself at the spot, too much pressure.

WHY should I live according their opinions? WHY should I bury myself under so many opinions of others, under so many limitations? Every person born into this world has their own special talents that other people cannot match, then why try to be someone else?

well, if they want to say that "naive", go ahead, I don't care, if I am mature in Lord, I'd be naive in the world's eyes. The world's opinion about an "ideal woman and ideal man" can really mess people up, big time.

But you know, the world don't care much, But Lord care me much. As long as I have good relationship with God, I'd be ok, in every area of life. IT IS SO TRUE. Good relationship with Lord can free you from garbages of this world:laugh:

And He made us all different for good reasons. :)

That's right. The world's just a giant mosaic and you make it beautiful too. :bunny:

yeah, if we listen and want to match up the "mature" in this world's opinion, all we get left is a broken low self-esteem........many people think they have to match up the world's opinion so that they can get what they want, i.g a ideal wonderful man, or love, or friendship. NO, it won't. maybe temporary "happiness", but in a long term sense harm far more pass the "little happiness"

Especially young people should know how to not to be a slave to other people's opinions, not to be a slave to limitations, not to define themselves according to this world's concept!

I think that defines chill chic to a T. She wouldn't have to even ask the question otherwise.

To the OP: You know, my case is the opposite. People think I'm probably pretty smart. I am trying to prove that the reality is different.

In my opinion, a smart person is one who knows he/she is smart, and is comfortable with that.

You don't have to prove anything to anybody. Posting your I.Q. on Myspace is almost like posting your vital statistics on there. It's the same intent, sort of - to set yourself apart from the crowd.

Why would you want to define yourself by just one characteristic? A truly gifted person - in whatever capacity - knows how to carry it off with grace. You don't need to advertise.

In a nutshell - take it easy!

Art - You crack me up!

To OP -

Was this the Stanford-Binet? If so, as I recall, a score of 100 is 50th percentile, or mean (average). This test used to be interpreted on a bell curve, with "genius" being considered greater than 2 standard deviations (SD = 15, I think) from the mean (i.e. above the 95th, or was it 97th? percentile), or greater than 130.

Or am I remembering this wrong???

I'm sure others here will know more about this than I.....

chill chic, try the emotional IQ test...

http://www.queendom.com/tests/access_page/index.htm?idRegTest=1121

This attempts to measure how much you can read people, and how much you can deal with tough people.

I have an IQ of 140 which I know is very high, but I am below average when it comes to emotional IQ. Luckily, unlike normal IQ, emotional IQ can be increased by experience.

Let us know how it goes :)

Thanks for the test! It was pretty long lol. But I scored 100 which indicates that I'm slightly below average. Very interesting, especially comparing your results with mine, and your IQ with mine...appears to be pretty accurate ;)

You are welcome. I got the EXACT same score too (100). I hope the survey is not rigged to just output 100 all the time because the programmers were lazy :p Otherwise, would you marry me?:p

Exactly. Why post your IQ anywhere? You know how smart you are.

I like smart people who are well-defined and can apply that intelligence to the real world. It shines through.

You can't possibly be this gullible. Are you looking for attention or affirmation?
