ash519 Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 See- I think it started cute, but older brother ( I have 2) sarcastically ripping on the other, or ranking on my Mom but in a joking manner. Then it just blew up. My Mother, my brother my cousin and I all work at the same company. So today my Mom and I go to lunch and are sitting with 2 work colleagues. She makes a comment about something stupid i did and they all lauugh. Then we (me included) were talking about how badly my brother treats women (and it is bad...like every womens worst nightmare) and then my mother is like "What about you back in the day?" Then this whole convo came up about how I would say "We are hooking up" and what that meant and she kept saying it meant like sex, and i was saying, No, it meant even if i just kissed a boy and we were dating. Basically making me look like a promiscuous little hussy. Totally inappropriate! What should I do about this situation as a whole??????????? I want it to end!
Guest Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 First of all you and your mom should not be trying to be friends--you know like your girlfriends. She's your mom and should act more maturely especially where private situations are concerned and you--some things are not for publication--in others words--all your business don't need to be in the streets. It's okay to share with moms some things, but some things are private. I'm sure you're mom didn't mean to rag on you like you thought, but since you put it out there, it was no longer a private matter, so she probably felt it was okay to speak on it. As far as your brothers--especially the woman beater--get him some help before any more ladies suffer. The other one just sounds like he's defending himself from the big bully. Take care.

Author ash519 Posted April 19, 2007 Author Posted April 19, 2007 I dont tell my Mom everything, but I do talk to her like she is a friend sometimes, but I certainly dont tell her about my sex life etc. And my brother isnt a woman beater, well, emotionally he is. He just treats women like his play things and then sleeps around with others and takes what he can...all around selfish, lying cheater. It makes me really angry, his behavior that is, because my mother was cheated on by my father with our next door neighbor and he saw what that did to her. You would think he would want to treat women better, but i guess he is just following in my fathers footsteps.
