whattothink Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 Hey team! You've never failed me before and I'm needing some advice! I recently signed up at the gym. The guy that toured me and I had chemistry. We ended up talking about his mom, his passion, the college days, and what I did for a living. He told me that his little brother was getting ready to turn my age. Being me, I asked if he was single, he said "yeah, but he lives ten hours away, I am though." I reminded him that he had my number in his computer. As I'm leaving, he says "I'll give ya a call sometime, if that's okay." I, of course, say sure! It's been a week and he hasn't called. I know that isn't too terribly long, but I see him a lot since I've joined this gym. I was getting ready to meet with my trainer on Wednesday and he said to come talk to him when I'm done. He was with a client (he does sales), so I didn't wait around. The next night, he's touring one of my girlfriends and asked me why I didn't come talk to him. I reminded him he was busy. One of my girls suggested that maybe he can't call me for a date using the info from his work stuff because of confidentiality and the risk of me saying he's harassing me. I really would like to get to know him. Does it sound like he might be interested? What should I do next? Thanks all!
Island Girl Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 The next night, he's touring one of my girlfriends and asked me why I didn't come talk to him. I reminded him he was busy. If you can get the same set up again, where he asks to talk to you or mentions something about talking to you, I would say to him, "if you wanted to talk to me, you have my number and you know it." Then a light laugh. He'd have a second to respond and if he responded favorably it would just go from there. He should pick that up if he's interested. I mean it is dumping the whole pile of bread right there! He doesn't even have to do any crumb gathering! It seems as if he was interested to begin with or I wouldn't advocate such a strong response. --- You could try to make it funny too depending on his personality, "aww. Are you trying to tell me that the computer ate my phone number and now - though you long to talk to me - you have to wait until I come to work out?" --- Kind of tongue in cheek.
Author whattothink Posted April 2, 2007 Author Posted April 2, 2007 Thanks! That's what I was thinking too! He's knows I'm pretty direct, so (as my girlfriends say) I can get away with it!
Island Girl Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 Thanks! That's what I was thinking too! He's knows I'm pretty direct, so (as my girlfriends say) I can get away with it! It takes a confident woman to pull it off. Even if your nervous - never let them see you sweat! lol
