Guest Matt Posted March 30, 2007 Posted March 30, 2007 Hi, Before Christmas I went to the pub and saw this really nice girl, she was a barmaid working there, anyway about 8/9 pints later and she had finished her shift and was having a break with a pint herself so I started talking to her...bearing in mind I was pissed up, anyway found out she was Polish and I work with poles so said "Oh I know some Polish" and started talking in my very basic Polish which mostly consisted of swear words, she didn't look impressed, but didn't look to bothered, she carried on talking to me anyway. I hadn't been back in or seen her since tuesday just gone, anyway when she seen me she gave a me a funny look and bit of a smile, but don't know if that was just her being "the friendly barmaid", I didn't really get chance to speak to her because she was pretty busy, so when to the pub last night and she was there again, she served me but I didn't really get chance to speak to her again because she was busy again. I was tempted to say something like "So how do I say i'm sorry for swearing at you in Polish?" but thought if I do that a) Its abit corny and b) Maybe I should just forget speaking Polish! lol Although now she probably thinks i'm a twat for speaking in polish to her and ignorant for not speaking to her last night. So can anyone give me any advice on what to say or do, e.t.c Cheers for any help in advance!
whichwayisup Posted March 30, 2007 Posted March 30, 2007 Man, just ask her out. In English! See what happens. If you don't take the chance you might regret it.
