I've read this here before that as soon as you are ready to move on with life after a toxic relationship, the dreaded EX comes back. So right you are!

As soon as I feel as if I am getting stronger and moving on, I am getting back into things I enjoy - and I even have a date on Saturday - HE calls.

He has been hounding me for two days and finally left a message that said "It is important. Call me as soon as you get this." Blah blah blah!

Why in the world to dumpers do this?!?!

strange isn't it? almost like they 'sniffed' out the fact that you may be moving on with someone other then them.

Because they truely might not be ready to move on. Or as human nature design sets out to be " you always want, what you can't have " blah

How true is this thread. Ugh...

It's a wierd cosmic ironic proportion. The length of time it takes you to Finally get over them is directly proportional to the length of time it takes them to Finally realize how badly they f*cked up in losing you.

However long it takes for you to get them out of your system is the same amount of time it takes for them to get their heads out of their asses. Too bad for them that it's too little too late.

this is the best part.... if you're like anyone else, you called him numerous times right after the break up.... just to have most or ALL of your calls ignored or blown off. How quickly they forget how THEY treated you when they walked.

I use to send a women an email here and there over the course of a year... Happy Mothers Day, B-Day, How are you's??? None of em' were answered. Then one day I had sent one "wishing her well, her family, then got into myself... my work, family, the girl I was dating..." just an email that summed up alot of what I've been up to. No response. Three days later, I woke up to 10 missed phonecalls throughout the night. ( my phone was on vibrate, never heard it.) It was HER! Called her back... Turns out, she decided to take an unexpected road trip to see family for the weekend, 1300 miles, and wanted to stop half way through the ride to see me. (stopped by on her way back) pursued me from there... with alot of promises. All broken promises AFTER I stopped seeing the poor girl I was dating. lesson learned.

I don't get this at all, not in the least. When I am the dumper, I don't have any interest in maintaining much if any contact with the ex. I don't like them....I want them to find someone else so they will leave me alone. I don't get it. Are some people just that narcissistic and egotistical that they always have to have EVERYONE wanting them or something?

This has been happening to me with my ex since August. I'm probably the only person he knows he can depend on... and loves in unconditionally.... cause I forgive him everytime. But when I get tired of waiting he always comes back... makes a million promises to get me to stop talking to any other guy I'm trying to date. Then he gets all panicked that he's going to fail me again... and gets pissed at me.

Sad part.... I know in my heart he's a good person... just the worst mama's boy.... and I'm still waiting.
