Yay for Willpower!

So for some reason, I had the profound urge to do some stalking of my ex and his new girlfriend on Myspace and Facebook.

I have successfully not checked either one for 55 days, but last night there was this overwhelming curiousity to do so.

So what I did was I closed my eyes and made up scenerios to myself about how terrible I would feel if I saw some new photo of them together or some "Mmm love you sexy" comment like I did the last time I checked. I remember how angry and sad and hurt those things made me.

So I realized that by not checking, I am helping myself out :) (That's sounds so simplistic and dumb to type, but it's amazing how hard it is to come to that realization and stop the obsessive stalking).

It still bothers me because for the 5 years we were dating, he didn't even know what Myspace or Facebook WAS, but now his new skanky girlfriend has created both profiles for him so they can flirt via the Internet (even though they LIVE together....yep...) and keep me and the rest of the world updated on their amazing relationship.

But I can be above them when I choose not to check. And now that urge to do so has passed. The 55-day streak will live to see Day 56!

Wow! Good job. I'm going to have to try that. I just looked at my x's (stupid f*ing myspace...grrr) page and he has added a girl to it and now I'm in a really cranky mood and ANGRY and I could have just avoided it all by using the technics you did. She's perfect for him too. Stupid and proud of it.

Of course, those technics are also what one is "supposed" to use when wanting to loose weight...a yummy piece of cake is in front of you... imagine how you will look lighter and how you will feel lighter etc..

stupid myspace, stupid xboyfriend - BRILLANT Cossette4!!

Yay, Cossette, good for you! Thank god my ex doesn't know how to use a computer so I don't have to be tempted by this. Instead I have to resist looking in pockets or reading scraps of paper he leaves that may have clues.

One day at a time, girl. Then when you are over him, and if you are curious (not in that stalky way) you can look from time to time to read about their turmoil (VD, infidelity, more sinking into skankville).
