Rewind Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 I started a new job not too long. In the beginning all the guys seemed well mute around me..lol..now they seem to be warming up very slowly. I still catch a few of them constantly staring at me..which is flatteing in a way but also a little annoying. So this one guy whenever I ask him a question or I come by his desk since I do work for him on occassion he'll stand up from his chair, start moving it's like he gets nervous. He's friends with this other girl, they go out for lunch, talk alot but I notice around me he's totally different so at first I thought he didnt like me for some reason. Anyway this past week I've caught him staring at me on several occasions. We were all sittting down for something and when I turned my head he was standing in the corner just looking at me so we caught eyes, I don't remember who looked away first. Then the next day we had a meeting. He was sitting across from me when I looked his way and well he was staring at my chest so then he immediately looked up and we locked eyes again so he knows I saw where he was looking. I had to do something for him, work related and he kept saying thank you so much and I really appreciate it..like overly thanking me. I've overheard convos he's had with his other work buddies and he seems pretty shy when it comes to girls and not that experienced which I find really cute bc I'm used to the typical I can get any girl I want type of guy. What do you all think?
Fiona Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 Affairs at work, usually turn disastrous. If you ever breakup with him, how would you be able to still work for him? The other men in the office will immediately peg you for 'easy' You will have no professional career there anymore. Notwithstanding any sexual harrasment suits, it's probably against company policy, too. There are so many fish in the sea... why him??

I'm not married..neither is he. I'm asking what is behavior means..
whichwayisup Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 It is what it is, don't try to figure it out. Focus on your job. You say you just started working there? Too soon to be 'wondering' about co-workers that way. Build up your reputation, your career. Some guy who is flirting with you is going to get you in trouble. Especially if you work closely with him.
Guest Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 OooI would also mention that the girl he goes out to lunch with might be his girlfriend. You will make quite a few enemies at your work place if you are flirting with the men. Many times, wives and girlfriends also work there. By just flirting and not really knowing if he is " avaible" you WILL be stepping on some toes, Watch out, the other women could get together real quick, and you will be out the door, see this happen all the time!~!!! Many men, just want to see if they still got it" LOL
Fiona Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 did u read my post..affair..what are u talkng about? I'm not married..neither is he. I'm asking what is behavior means.. It's just my age showing. With affair, I mean seeing each other, dating, having sex, whatever. Not good in an office environment. You'll get the bad rep, not him. If the **** hits the fan, you are the one they will can. Have you ever stopped to think that he knows company poilcy? He may not be all that shy, just scared of the consequences.
Author Rewind Posted March 25, 2007 Author Posted March 25, 2007 Have you ever stopped to think that he knows company poilcy? He may not be all that shy, just scared of the consequences. lol well I didn't think of that..but he is shy I do know that much. I didn't say I was interested in him..all my question was what others would make of his behavior towards me..that's all.
LN99 Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 He could be interested in you.....or he could just be checking you out, and thats it. Point is, if your not interested then just ignore it. Now, if you are interested, or decide to become interested..be careful. Work relationships can be distasterous. Also, if there is a policy that says no dating, then its best to avoid getting involved.
IWalkAlone Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 It's just my age showing. With affair, I mean seeing each other, dating, having sex, whatever. Not good in an office environment. You'll get the bad rep, not him. If the **** hits the fan, you are the one they will can. If we can't date people at work, then it's a lot more difficult to date. For may people, their circle of friends does not contain a suitable partner, and women feel uncomfortable when guy they don't know appraoches them in a supermarket and says "Hi! Can I have your phone number." Work provides an environment to get to know people and have an idea of if you're comaptable. As long as people can be grown-up and mature about it, they should be able to date at work.
EC Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 If your not into him then what does his behavior mean to you? Do you care what other people will think about his behavior towards you? Though I doubt anyone else is going to notice him staring at your boobs. So anyways to the point..if your not ineterested & you dont feel sexually harrassed whats the purpose of this post? Do you just want to know if he likes you. So you can say he like me? lol
LittleWoman12 Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 He could be a pervert. Ever notice if it takes him a long tome to stand up from behind his desk? Does he hold a book in front of him? Does he run to the bathroom after looking at you? He could also be a stalker. I'd be careful around him.

What do you all think? He loves you. Thats what you wanted to hear? You know that already, so stop bragging here And please dont tell here your panties get wet because he is shy. We take a lot of time here to make men from shy boys, who heard that it attracts women.
