When that wears off, and OW starts pressing in again they say "I'm getting the divorce by X date", and then when that date comes up, "something" will come up to prevent that from happening, and MM will set another date. Wash, rinse, repeat. And repeat. That usually keeps them around. OW I've seen pay much too much attention to the words, and not nearly enough to the actions.

And I was tired of seeing him on his terms. He then proceeded to tell me, "you are very special." And we should talk and work things out. I never responded.

I have never actually tried to end it. Every once in a while when I get really frustrated with the situation he offers to let me go. Tells me he loves me too much to see me in pain and if I want to be free just let him know. Don't be afraid to tell him. Of course then it hurts my feelings that he would be so willing and able to just let me walk away. SO then I say is that what you want? Scares the crap out of him. He gets this startled, scared, hurt look and says no I love you etc.
mustbcrazy Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 Mine is one of the ones that says that I'll never find anyone that I am so compatible with. In reality I know this isn't true, but when I'm feeling crappy, I sometimes start to believe this.
