Lights Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 This is a pretty stupid question (salespeople are there to sell stuff), but it's still strange in my experience. Late this week I was shopping for shirts. A saleswoman who happened to have helped me find stuff gave me her card and also (this is where it is strange) unsolicited, specifically told me which days of the week she was around. I'm not sure whether this means anything. I've never run into salespeople who were intent on having me shop specifically during their shifts, and I've also never had anyone offer that information unsolicited. Should I read anything into this?
Author Lights Posted March 24, 2007 Author Posted March 24, 2007 Maybe she works on commission? Precisely. I can understand that in such case that it's in a salesperson's interest to have a customer shop with them specifically, but it's just strange to me because I've never seen anyone so desperate for a commission that they'd go out of their way like that to tell them unsolicited where they particularly are.
