Motor35 Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 When do you know if you are ready to go on a date after a breakup? I am still crushed and hurt, but doing much better. A friend asked me out and at the time, it seemed like a great idea. Right now I feel like I am still too hung up on my jerk-o-saurus to go out. Then tomorrow, I will probably feel like going out with my friend. It feels weird, I just keep cycling over and over. What do you think? And another thing, ladies, have you had any luck moving on with life after having crazy sex with someone? A few of my girls have suggested that I just go out and some sex with whomever. Ever done that?

In theory it's good to get yourself out there, but, IME, dating too soon triggered thoughts of the ex and I end up having a miserable time. I liken it to going to a bar after just quitting smoking. You haven't adjusted to your new life enough to not think of the past. But that's me. If your still hung up on your ex, maybe you need more time.
climbergirl Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 One question: Is this friend wanting something casual or is he wanting something more?
magichands Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 If it's the same day, then it's probably too early. I like to sleep on it, and then I think one is good to go.
